| Defuniak Springs, FL and to the next location... |

30 west live oak.... first location was a major bleh ; p apparently the place got owned by an individual 8 years ago. he atleast 'said' that it wasn't haunted. When you think 'victorian' style house though, this was the creepy victorian style; the one with like the little towers and lightning rod on the roof, tall, not JUST box shaped with elaborate windows. I couldn't even get the guy convinced to let us in though. : / It was nice visiting my cousins again, although one of them might have an extra strong attachment to me. That or not though, everyone there is cool, and good times are always had with family, with games inside or outside the home, or just sitting back and enjoying a little quiet time with tv. I did get very drunk twice, although some of the drinkage was peer pressure... some. It was a fair bit more a bit more often than what I've recently been doing. It was kind of like... renewing my past to some extent.
Anyways, my bird is also with me. The only roomates I 'had' back in Pensacola that would have helped me out while I was gone, moved out yesterday supposedly. So, its with me, and I'd probably prefer that because it seems to have a stronger atachments than most birds have with me. We are in a motel. It's the last night of a dadgum 'game weekend' though, so sadly in order to rent a room for a night that is usually 35 dollars, it was double that -_- Anyway, here I am in the room and plan on trying to stay two nights here in order to try to catch some sort of something at the park. I'm not sure if it has specific hours or anything, but I will attempt to get in tonight in about 2.5 hours. It is only about 2 miles from where I'm at, so about a 40 minute walk. I am taking my camera, voice recorder, and that's it. Since it has mainly been visual caught at this location, I will try to use that more than the vr. That is really all I can say about how things are going, and where I am at currently in things. Aside from those things, I just got the thought to maybe post up the rest of my journal entries which were only written before I began using my journal.
Thanks for reading again. I'll keep folks posted, AND also, if anyone knows how to contact shadowlands.net and let them know what the deal is with the house in defuniak springs, that would be fantastic, because they never answer any emails I send, although they would still appear to be around, and the proof is, is that over the past couple of months, they actually updated some locations and their status, as well as the look of the site. Thanks!

| I has a dead guy in my room o.o |

Well, I tested out my newly boughtvoice recorder last night. I got 3 seperate possibilities as voices, but only one is an absolute definite! It was in my room at this house built in 1906. It was a male voice and it whispered the word 'here'. It's pretty easy to tell it isn't my own breathing or speaking. I had ALL electronics off and everyone else was asleep. It was about 3am when I had gone in to test out my room. There are two guesses that I have on this particular spirit. It is either too weak to do anything or speak anything outside of voice recording, or it is friendly and respectful. I was extremely excited after I heard it, and I listened to it on 3 seperate sets of speakers so I could be sure I was hearing it right. I also had my roomates listen to it and they verify it very clearly being someone else other than myself. There was one other possibility of a voice recording in the house, however there was a fan running. I tested it out on 3 seperate speakers as well. In one set it seems to come across as a female voice. In all other instances, it came across more male-like. My roomate that got to hear that particular one though says that that particular spot, on the more baselike speakers, still does not sound like it's me. I'll be uploading both to somewhere eventually when I get a cable to plug between the laptop and the voice recorder. and then you can judge for yourselves. I really was not planning to start my trip before I started my trip O.o
Speaking of the trip though, I currently have only 2 devices for use that I bought yesterday. One is the voice recorder, and one is a digital video recorder with a hard drive in it rather than requiring any kind of minidisc or memory cards ; p I can get abotu 20 hours of video onto the 30 gb drive cam. Hopefulyl these two items will be enough. If I knew where to get a thermal visual type item, I'd try that too. But, it's not my funds limited as far as ghost hunt purchases go, it's knowledge of where I can pick these items up. |
